Helping the homeless 2017

Helping the homeless 2017

Every year at North West Skills Academy we’re doing something to help someone, somewhere and 9 times out of 10 it is our MIS Manager – Ashley Brady who pulls it all together. Whether work is busy or she has things going on at home, she always puts other people first.

This year we chose to help the homeless of Manchester. Back in September, Ashley organised a team of 10 from NWSA to run the Salford 10k where we raised £1,000.

With that £1,000, Ashley and the team went shopping and purchased sleeping bags, fleeces, backpacks, food, drink and other bits and bobs we all take for granted. Ashley and her family have now prepared all the individual packs and we will be handing them out on Christmas Eve to the homeless of Manchester.

Next year we aim to reach more people and welcome your support.

If you would like to help us make a difference to someone’s lives OR you work with a charity that needs support please get in touch at [email protected]

From all of us at NWSA, thank you for your sponsorship and support. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Well done and thank you all the team who ran and to Ashley Brady for being Ashley.
